  • Note*: John Henry Bahn was a member of one of the German families of Kreutz-Creek who mistakenly allowed Colonel Cresap to survey their land for Lord Baltimore although it was actually part of PA. When they realized they had made a mistake, they sent a letter of apology to the PA govt, notified Lord Baltimore of the change, and placed themselves under the PA govt. on 11 August 1736 at Kreutz-Creek, Hellam, York, PA, US.2
  • Note: He was one of the signers of a letter in which they declared they had erred in letting Col. Cresap survey Kreutz-Creek. Lord Baltimore issued warrents for the arrests of the signers, but the warrants could not be served until the weather improved the following spring. on 21 October 1736 at MD, US.2
  • Note: He witnessed the event when Lord Baltimore's officers seized Henrick Bahn, Michael Danner, Conrad Stickler, and Jacob Welshover who were attending a neighbor child's funeral. They were jailed in Annapolis, MD along with 14 others who were thought to be taking part in a "Revolt of the Germans". They were later released. This occurred in May 1737 at Kreutz-Creek, Hellam, York, PA, US.2
  • Note: He was one of the intended victims of the "Chester County Plot" which involved citizens of Chester County trying to deliver the Kreutz-Creek settlement to Maryland and drive off the Germans who had cleared and settled the land. The PA govt intervened in time to prevent the turnover. after 1738 at Kreutz-Creek, Hellam, York, PA, US.2
  • Death*: He died in November 1768 at Hellam, York, PA, US.2
